Supervisor Responsibilities allows you to associate users in your organization with a supervisor user who is responsible for them. This Supervisor Responsibility association will allow a supervisor user to view and interact with the client data visible to the users they supervise.

Use the following procedure for establishing supervisor responsibility for :

0. Prerequisites:

0.1 Roles have been defined in Role Administration

0.1.1 A Worker role has been defined which has a basic set of create/view/edit permissions defined.

0.1.2 A Supervisor role has been defined which has at least the same set of permissions defined as the worker role.

0.2 Staff users have been defined in Staff Administration

0.2.1 At least one user has been assigned the Worker role

0.2.2 At least one user has been assigned the Supervisor role.

1. In the Administration option under "System Setup" located in the top menu bar, click on the "Responsibilities..." option.

1.1 Double-click on the staff person you wish to assign a supervisory responsibility.

1.2. Click on the "Staff" tab.

1.3 Just to the right of the Admin sidebar is a staff list with the standard selection buttons and filtering capabilities.

1.4 Below the staff list are controls to allow you to navigate to different pages of the list, as well as refresh the list.

1.5 Note that the staff person may have multiple roles (check the "Assigned Roles" drop-down to see if there is more than one item). For such users, a different set of supervisor responsibilities can be assigned for each role.  Also, if a staff person's supervisor responsibilities have been defined for one role, those responsibilities are NOT inherited/copied to other roles for that staff person.

3. Repeat step 2 for additional Supervisor Responsibility assignments.

4. Click on the user's "Assigned Roles" drop-down in the User's profile area. If this user has additional roles, select another role and repeat step 2 & 3 for each role. For example, as seen below, John Doe might have more than one role assigned to him. If this is the case, be sure to select the second (or third) role and apply the same - or different, if you prefer - responsibilities to John Doe.
