Client Creation
What is Client Creation?
- Client Creation is the process of identifying the people that your organization will serve - name, date of birth, gender, identification code, etc.
- Client creation also involves assigning a client to an organizational unit, and classifying the client with any appropriate taxonomy tags
Client Administration allows you to create and record the following information about the people that your organization will serve:
- Name
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Active/inactive status
- Client ID
- Organization assignment
- Taxonomy tags
Use the following procedure for adding clients:
1. From the "System Setup" option on the top menu bar, go down to Administration and click on the "Clients..." option.
1.1 This will display the screen shown below. On the left pane, there is a client list with the standard selection buttons and filtering capabilities.
1.2 Below the client list are controls which allow you to navigate to different pages of the client list, as well as refresh the list.
2. To add a new client select the New tab at the bottom of the client list and click the Add button above the client list area.
3. The system will automatically create a "New Client."
Click on the "New Client" entry to display the client profile data entry area.
4. Enter profile information for this client:
4.1 First Name (Required)
4.2 Last Name (Required)
4.3 Gender
4.4 Date of Birth
4.5 Client Identifier
4.6 Active Status: note that this box must be checked for the client to be visible/available for further interactions.
5. Associate this client to your organization using the Organizational Placements area.
This allows you to match the client with the physical or functional area that is providing service to this client

5.1 Click on the "+" icon to expand the organization hierarchy
5.2 Click on the organization that this client is associated with
5.3 Click on "Add Placement" to complete the association. The new association will appear in the right pane.
5.4 Similarly, to remove an organization, click on the item in the right pane and then click on "Remove Placement"
6. Associate this client with one or more tags using the Tags area.
This allows you to connect this client with one or more tag/taxonomy items.

6.1 Click on the Tags tab to display this area.
6.2 Click on the "+" icon to expand the tag hierarchy
6.3 Click on the tag that this client is associated with
6.4 Click on "Add Tag" to complete the association. The new tag will appear in the right pane.
6.5 Similarly, to remove a tag, click on the item in the right pane and then click on "Remove Tag"
7. Click on the Save button to save this information.
